Philippe Sauvie as an artist/art director and owner of Sauvie Architectural Illustration (SAI) an architectural visualization studio-collaborative based in Portland Oregon USA. He has lent his expertise by producing beautiful and powerful perspective renderings in a variety of media for architects, interior designers and real estate developers.

For many years his work was executed by traditional means utilizing watercolor, Prismacolor pencil, pen and ink. The work was always undertaken with an artistic attitude of whatever it takes to express the designer’s intent. In recent years Philippe has collaborated with digital technicians and artists to produce renderings in a hybrid of both traditional media and digital. The reason being the ability to express a rigorous drawing approach that leads to images that are both precise and modifiable giving the client more options and setting a projects apart from the competition.

He is a member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI), a nonprofit professional organization of architectural illustrators whose goals are to foster communication among practitioners, to raise the standards of architectural visualization and acquaint the public with the importance of the art as integral to the practice of architecture.
